Major Monday: Business

Business is one of the most popular answers we get when we ask students what major they are considering studying in college.  What does it mean to be a Business major? It’s an enormous field.  Students who study business in college will get a taste of all of the different areas of it, as well as discuss the issues facing the business world today.

General Description:  The Business major is designed to give students a solid understanding of the principles of business.  You’ll be taking classes in Economics, Finance, and Accounting, among others.  Theses are all majors in their own right!  Business students feel it’s important for them to have a taste of all the moving parts of the field.  Prospective majors should be comfortable speaking in public, meeting new people, and be well-organized.

Degrees:  Degrees are offered at the associate’s and bachelor’s level
