Congratulations, Class of 2015!

It’s hard to believe another graduation has come and gone!

This past Friday, the LC community gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the senior class at our baccalaureate mass and graduation ceremony.  The achievements of the Class of 2015 can’t be measured by the colleges they’ve chosen to attend – we all know there’s so much more to it than that.  First of all, several members of the senior class are headed to the military.  Their decision to serve is beyond admirable and we thank them and celebrate them!

While not necessarily a measurement of success, college acceptances and decisions are still things to be celebrated, and this year’s senior class has a lot to be proud of!  The Class of 2015 was offered over 3.5 million dollars in merit scholarships for their freshman year alone.  They will accept nearly $900,000 of that amount.  Over 120 colleges both in the United States and abroad accepted a Lowell Catholic student into their Class of 2019.  47 colleges will welcome a Crusader this fall.

Among the acceptances:  Cornell University, Clarkson University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Boston University, Emerson College, Northeastern University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Syracuse University, University of Vermont, Brandeis University, University of Connecticut, Ithaca College, James Madison University, Virginia Tech, Miami University of Ohio, Purdue University, Fairfield University, Catholic University of America, George Washington University, Providence College, Roger Williams University, Michigan State University, Auburn University, and NYU.

Our biggest group – 9 graduates – will head to UMass Lowell in the fall.

Some of our graduates are headed to far away places, such as the University of St. Louis in Belgium, the University of Tampa, the University of South Florida, Auburn University, and Purdue University.

Congratulations to all the members of the Class of 2015 and best of luck in the years ahead!
