This year marked Lowell Catholic’s 5th Annual College Fair, held on October 14th. When we held our first one, we had only 13 schools. This year, we had 49 participate!
The college fair is a great opportunity for seniors to learn about colleges they may have not considered, hear about various programs, and make connections with admission representatives. About 60% of the senior class came to hear more about various schools. If a senior did not attend, he or she was on a college campus touring.
Since juniors will be ready to apply before they know it, they attend the college fair as well. Following the completion of the PSAT exam, juniors had the same opportunity to learn more about schools, the programs they offer, and talk with admission representatives. This is a great opportunity for them to get a head start on researching schools. Sophomores have the option to attend the fair following the PSAT exam.
Colleges and universities that attended this year include Western New England University, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Colby-Sawyer College, Northeast Catholic College, Johnson and Wales University, University of Massachusetts Amherst, University of New England, Endicott College, Pine Manor College, Assumption College, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Springfield College, Bridgewater State University, Albertus Magnus College, Worcester State University, Ave Maria College, and Lasell College.
